Planning Commission
The Plan Commission reviews subdivisions of land, site development plans, and planned unit developments (PUDs), in addition to initiating amendments to the zoning code and map. The Plan Commission consists of five members appointed by the Town Council and meets on the third Monday of the month at 5:00 pm. Meetings are held at Sellersburg Town Hall. Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) hears and decides requests for variances from the standards identified in the Unified Development Ordinance. The BZA also hears and makes final decisions on conditional use requests. In addition, the BZA makes the final decision concerning appeals regarding administrative decisions. The BZA consists of five members appointed by the Town Council and Plan Commission. The Board meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 pm at Sellersburg Town Hall. Parks & Recreation Board
The Parks and Recreation Board exercises the general supervision and makes the rules of the parks department. The Board prepares and submits an annual budget to the Town Council, makes recommendations and an annual report to the Town Council concerning the operation of the Board and status of park and recreation programs in the district. The Parks and Recreation Board consists of seven members appointed by the Town Council, as well as one representative from the Library or School Board. Board meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 pm in Sellersburg Town Hall.
