PUBLIC NOTICE
Sellersburg Water Main Break & Precautionary Boil Water Advisory
September 14, 2026
Sellersburg Water crews have been working this afternoon to repair a water main break caused by a fiber contractor.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on September 14, crews were able to isolate the impacted area. Unfortunately, in order to complete the necessary repairs, water service to the Cooperdale neighborhood and surrounding areas has been temporarily shut off.
Estimated Water Service Restoration: 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026

This water service interruption affects all customers on the following roadways:

- Prather St
- Millview St
- Circle Dr

- Applegate Ln
- W. Utica St
- Cambridge Manor
Precautionary Boil Water Advisory
Once water service is restored, all customers within the impacted area will be placed under a precautionary boil water advisory.
Customers should not consume tap water without first boiling it until Sellersburg Water issues an official notice lifting the advisory. Additional information and instructions regarding the boil water advisory will be provided following restoration of water service.
The Sellersburg Billing Office is currently compiling the addresses of impacted customers so that notices can be distributed.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers while our crews work to safely complete these repairs. Once the precautionary advisory is lifted, impacted customers will be notified.
