SELLERSBURG TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
SEPTEMBER 25, 2006
TOWN COUNCIL MEETING:
The Sellersburg Town Council met on September 25, 2006, at the Sellersburg
Town Hall. Present were President Douglas J. Reiter, Vice President Michael
N. Lockhart, Council Member Trinette S. Imhof, Council Member Paul J.
Rhodes, Town Attorney William P. McCall III and Chief Deputy Clerk Treasurer
Michelle D. Eve.
CALL TO ORDER:
President Douglas J. Reiter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
PRAYER:
Council Member Paul J. Rhodes.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Offered by all present.
President Reiter asks if everyone had reviewed the minutes of the September
14, 2006 meeting.
Paul J. Rhodes makes a motion to approve the minutes of the September 14,
2006 meeting as written, seconded by Michael N. Lockhart. 4-aye, 0-nay,
motion approved.
President Reiter asks if everyone had reviewed the invoices as submitted by
the Clerk Treasurer.
Michael N. Lockhart makes a motion to approve the bills as presented by the
Clerk Treasurer, seconded by Paul J. Rhodes. 4-aye, 0-nay, motion approved.
Michael N. Lockhart makes a motion to approve on first reading the final
adoption of the 2007 Budget, Ordinance Number 2006-020, seconded by Paul J.
Rhodes. 4-aye, 0-nay, motion approved.
Michael N. Lockhart makes a motion to pass on first reading the final
adoption of the 2007 Budget, Ordinance Number 2006-020, seconded by Paul J.
Rhodes. 4-aye, 0-nay, motion approved.
Assistant Chief Ross presents two letters to Council, one from Chief Whelan
and one from Doug Pixley, President, Sellersburg Police Commission,
requesting the Council approve the hiring of Todd S. Knight as a patrolman.
Paul J. Rhodes makes a motion to allow Chief Whelan to Hire Todd S. Knight,
seconded by Michel N. Lockhart. 4-aye, 0-nay, motion approved.

Trinette S. Imhof makes a motion to allow Officer Knight to receive First
Class Officer’s pay, seconded by Michael N. Lockhart. 4-aye, 0-nay, motion
approved.
Motion by Paul J. Rhodes to pass Ordinance 2006-022, Exhibit A, Ordinance
amending Ordinance 2001-001 Changing the schedule of rates and charges to be
collected by the Town of Sellersburg from owners of property served by the
sewer works of said Town and other matters connected therewith, with an
effective date of January 1, 2007. Seconded by Michael N. Lockhart. 4-aye,
0-nay, motion approved.
Motion by Michael N. Lockhart to approve Ordinance 2006-023, Ordinance
adopting a schedule of fees for payment of judgments (fines) for civil
traffic violations. Seconded by Paul J. Rhodes, 4-aye, 0-nay, motion
approved.
Motion by Paul J. Rhodes to adopt Ordinance 2006-023, Ordinance adopting a
schedule of fees for payment of judgments (fines) for civil traffic
violations. Seconded by Michael N. Lockhart, 4-aye, 0-nay, motion approved.
Motion by Michael N. Lockhart to approve Resolution R2006-008, Resolution
creating a plan for reimbursing employees for certain uninsured medical
expenses. Seconded by Trinette S. Imhof. 4-aye, 0-nay, motion approved.
Motion by Michael N. Lockhart to approve Ordinance 2006-024, an Ordinance
creating a non-reverting fund for the purpose of reimbursing employees for
certain uninsured medical expenses. Seconded by Trinette S. Imhof. 4-aye,
0-nay, motion approved.
Trinette S. Imhof makes a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Michael
N. Lockhart. 4-aye, 0-nay. Motion approved and meeting adjourned at 8:24
p.m.
